Take a sneak peek at the newest fine-dining Indian restaurant that’s set to launch in East Yorkshire next week.
Renowned restaurateur and co-founder of the popular Tapasya brand in Hull, Mukesh Tirkoti, acquired the former Medici’s Italian restaurant, in High Street, North Ferriby, and has worked to transform it into a venue offering exquisite Indian cuisine. Ruthvika Spices & Kitchen will officially open on Tuesday, September 5, after an invitation-only preview on Monday, September 4, where guests will get their first taste of what is on offer at the reimagined restaurant.
The new venture promises to elevate the culinary experience in the East Yorkshire area, with Mr Tirkoti saying: “I jumped at the chance to bring the Indian fine dining experience to North Ferriby - Ruthvika already enjoys an excellent reputation among Indian cuisine aficionados.” The plush restaurant, designed with elegance very much in mind, will serve lunch, à la carte and tasting menus.

Owner of Tapasya at Hull Marina to take over former Medici restaurant in Yorkshire footballers’ village of North Ferriby.
A former Italian restaurant popular with footballers has been taken over by the owner of a highly-regarded Hull curryhouse.
Mukesh Tirkoti, who co-founded Tapasya at Hull Marina, has taken on the lease of the former Medici restaurant in the village of North Ferriby.
Medici had occupied the building since 1997, but closed earlier this year. It was a favourite haunt of Hull City players and managers.
The new Indian dining experience, called Ruthvika Spices and Kitchen, will open on September 5. Mr Tirkoti has recruited a head chef from a Michelin-starred eatery in London who will serve tasting menus, afternoon teas and unique Indian desserts. There will be vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian options.

Former Medici restaurant relaunching as fine dining Indian with new owner. Medici’s, which closed in January after a 25-year lease ended, has been taken on by award-winning Indian restaurateur.
The former Medici’s restaurant and bar in North Ferriby, which closed earlier this year, is to reopen with a new fine dining experience on offer.
Medici’s, a popular venue with local food enthusiasts, including Hull City footballers and managers, shut its doors in January when a 25-year lease came to an end. The then business owner Medi Karimian relocated many of the staff to his thriving Medici takeaway, in Brough.
